Seeing there are alot of cool skins on minecraft, Why don't we start a skin thread, post the skin JPG and use/comment them.

It's an in development java based game about mining and building, not much more point to the game right now. Indev survival you have to pay for, but it's alot better than regular free survival. Also creative mode/multiplayer creative mode are awesome.

KR, I really don't see why a single purpose thread is really all that wrong. Plenty of boards do it, and this seems like a perfectly reasonable topic basis.

And at least it brings some actual topic life to the board rather than having every active topic just being a collection (How do you feel, what are you listening to, currently playing).

I figured "Well let's just change that to "Minecraft General" so that it can all be in one thread. Multitude of superfluous threads =/= "life being breathed back into the forum." And really, we're not even that dead. Plus those "other forums" usually have hundreds of active members so a thread limited like that is a good idea.

We can still totally talk about skins too, just now they'll be part of a bigger discussion.

edit: also PED it's because this thread will probably not last for 20 pages, and even if it does those pages won't be all skins.

I'm not saying that a ton of threads is the same as life, but this thread had a specific purpose and there's not a single reason you couldn't let PED just have this thread when there was nothing wrong with it. He wanted skins, and just skins.

You can only use skins if you've payed for the game.

I know of two people on this forum who have payed for the game. Myself, and PED.

Do you seriously want a thread for two people to share skins, one of which (me) will rarely change them as it is? Or do you want to leave this alone now?




PED: Here is a very handy guide. For more crafting info look for the minecraft wiki, google it because I forgot what it's called. So far I've managed to build a few useful forts in the indev mode. It's seriously fun, let me tell you.

Oh, also. How the hell do you mine diamond? I have a gold pickaxe but nothing comes out and it takes a long time to break the diamond block.

gold is the equivalent to a wood pickaxe, you'd probably want an iron pickaxe


speaking of which, i just started playing the indev version. this is going to keep me company for a while.

yeah gold is a soft, shitty metal for tools or armor

mostly just for status. to mine diamond, you need iron.

When servival comes out on multiplayer, we people of /pj/ should make rapture or some city (floating optional).

fact: there are at least two to three raptures in any multiplayer map at any given time, and everyone wants to see them.

Fact the second: usually only one of those is any good. The rest have a 50/50 chance of being flooded when you find them.

Even knowing this, I still fucking love making my Mini Raptures.

well i mean it makes sense, would you build a tool out of solid gold and expect it to be more durable than a regular store-bought tool?

This is my skin, someone else made it and I just edited it so the helmet is on your face instead of the helmet floating on it. IE, Isaac's face is now replaced with the helmet skin.
