If I join the new forum, I'll get banned immediatly won't I?
I'm just asking now, so I can say goodbye to the guys who would treat me decently from time to time.

Honestly I think you're pretty much past the point of having to worry about it. You still make stupid posts from time to time but I'm pretty sure they're just things you say because you're younger than the rest of us. The only thing that really bothers me still is the way you constantly beat up on yourself in your posts, even if it has gotten significantly better in the past month or two. Besides, it's not like a board move is going to activate marshal law mode with the staff. We're going to be voting on the staff members, from the sound of it, and staff decisions are still not just up a single person. Our mods have always worked with each other as a team, for the most part, and I like that. Yeah, I imagine some of the faces on that line-up are bound to change, but it won't change how things are done.
And I think it's safe to say that should we decide it's time to move, we aren't going to be moving to any of the boards already around such us Metrasha, CMB, Sagggingbaggingbarrysauce, etc. As much as we'd all like to have a slice in the power, a new entity is going to need to be created or else it's just going to feel like one of the board moves of the past and we'll all end up here again.

If we do make a move, then I agree- it should be somewhere that's totally fresh that can be built from the ground up to suit the needs of the community and so that the administrators and moderators have total and complete control over the entire board. I also agree that we should move somewhere totally new so that it doesn't feel like we're leaving one old place, just to go back to another old place that failed the first time there was a move instituted. I don't think that would go over very well.

Not all of us are here for games, though. Hell the only real topic in the game section is the currently playing anyway.
I could always start posting a thread for every single game that's coming out on Nintendo's platforms again. And I could start posting in orange again. And we could get Zog back in here to flame me for doing such.
Anyway, I wouldn't mind a move.

He is a real person you know. There are ways of talking to him outside the forum.
If projectjen.net gets taken over by the current community (or NR allows others to admin the site along side him) this place can be redesigned, new options, new discussion themes, and new style can be added to this domain without having to relocate.

An update on the situation:
This topic looks dead, but I haven't forgotten or anything and something is being done about another board. It was more of an announcement and a call to gradual action rather than saying ALRIGHT GUYS LETS DO THIS RIGHT NOW--I'll post one of those later.
My job status is looking good, I won't know for sure until weekend whether I got it, but right now it looks pretty certain. Once I can start raking in some income I'll begin serious talks with people over the main issues like hosting, who's admin and the like, and then present the forum for the community to comment on and tweak before presumably making the move.
In the meantime we still need to resolve what to call the place and what the domain should be. Personally, I'm good with projectjen.org since we're only moving and not rebranding.
Also if you have any suggestions at all drop them in here. Really, I want all the feedback you guys got.
Oh, and for those that would rather stay, I shot NR another PM about the situation and getting more admin privileges. We'll see if it gets any response.
